We invite participants of XVI International Biodetoriation and Biodegradation Symposium to join Mass Spectrometry Workshops on Wednesday 3th and Thursday 4th September 2014. The aim of the workshop is focused on the selected examples of application of mass spectrometry in microbiological studies as well as sharing experience, problems and benefits of the technique in routine and research work.

 

The Workshop will be divided in three practical sessions concentrated on MS/MS method development, data acquisition and interpretation, covering the following topics:

 

1.       Protein identification on MALDI-TOF/TOF instrument.

2.       Lipids identification and profiling on LC-MS/MS instrument.

3.       LC-MS/MS analysis of organic acids as a marker for different materials biodegradation.

 

Due to restricted laboratory space number of participants is limited to 25 people per day. Therefore workshop will be divided into 2 to terms (03.09.2014 and 04.09.2014) and both workshops will cover the same material. The IBBS participants are asked to make a payment of 25 Euro and all other guests are asked to make a payment of 50 Euro on conference account.

 

After completing the course participants will obtain the certificate of attendance.
