Dear Beata, IBBS-16 On behalf of the Council of IBBS and myself personally I write to formally and very warmly thank you and the entire Politechnika Łódzka team for your incredible work in organising and executing the very successful IBBS-16 Symposium.
Despite the small changes that had to be made to the programme and the absence of Geoff Robson everything ran very smoothly and was excellently organised. The Expo Centre was a great venue, the food, entertainment and all other arrangements were first rate.
But such a Symposium relies on its scientific content and you and your team managed to put together an excellent combination of academic and practical papers from a huge spectrum of disciplines; from speakers worldwide and with a vast range of experience and expertise. It was great to see the mixture of young and older scientists learning from each other and their enthusiasm for the topics that they were talking or displaying posters about.
However, it was not just the papers and posters that made the Symposium so successful, it was also the “out of conference hall” interactions between the participants at both a scientific and personal level which made IBBS-16 very special and that was exemplified by the absolutely wonderful and imaginative Symposium Dinner. It was such great fun and we will have a very hard job to match that at IBBS-17 in Manchester.
Again, my very profound thanks to you and all of your team.
Very best wishes
John Gillatt

Dear Beata,

Thank you so much for a really nice conference, for enabling me to meet a large number of interesting and motivated people and seeing more of the great work being done in the microbiological area so rlevant to what we do in our group.

Of course, thank you for looking after me so well. I really appreciate it. Also, the tour on Saturday around Lodz was a really good idea. We all learnt a lot, and obtained much better insight of the local history.

Please convey my thanks also to your co-workers, and at some appropriate time in the future, my thanks to the organising committee and the IBB committee.

With very best regards,

Rob Melchers

Hi Beata.

First, let me thank you and congratulate you once again on the success of IBBS16. We all had a wonderful time.

Can you let me have a list, with email addresses, of the delegates, please. They are all now members of the Society for a year and I need to add them to the list before sending out the Minutes of the AGM.

How is our joint research project (painted panels) doing, by the way?

Best wishes,

Chris

Dear Beata, I hope that you are resting after having hosted the IBBS meeting.  The meeting was truly wonderful - the hospitality, the technical exchange, the food and the weather!!  I particularly appreciate the generosity that you extended to me and my family.  The students did a remarkable job on the tour and getting us to Warsaw.  Please relay my sincere thanks to them.

Best wishes, Brenda

Thank you very much, one more time, for your fantasic work!

With best regards,
